We are proud to present Takashi Jōshi, a distinguished dealer in Japanese antiques whose unique path bridges tradition, artistry, and a global perspective. Born in Kitakami, Iwate Prefecture, and a graduate of Toho University’s Faculty of Science, Takashi’s journey into the world of Japanese art is rooted in a life shaped by cultural depth and personal exploration.

Raised at the foot of the Ōu Mountains, he was introduced at a young age to traditional Japanese values and aesthetics by his grandmother. His early training in the performing arts under acclaimed actress Mayumi Ogawa, followed by spiritual studies at Buddhist temples in Kyoto, refined his sensibility and deepened his connection to Japan’s cultural legacy.

Takashi later moved to London, where his time abroad brought renewed appreciation for the depth and subtlety of Japanese art when viewed through a global lens. Upon returning to Japan, he committed himself fully to the world of fine antiques—sharing exceptional works of Japanese beauty with collectors both at home and internationally.

With a refined eye shaped by nature, spirituality, and cross-cultural experience, Takashi Jōshi offers more than objects—he offers perspective, authenticity, and a rare sensitivity to the essence of Japanese tradition.
